A very emotional show full of fun and laughter and a few tears, a great show put on by Longford Variety Group, who were celebrating 21 years. They decided to tie it in with all funds raised going to local community charity's. Everyone enjoyed it, pieces like, my Deck is bigger than your deck, to a fantastic array of singing, and a very touching remembrance piece, and a very talented young lady who did the communion piece, could be our own Saoirse Ronan, of the future, a very memorable show. Well done to all involved and all the local business and generous individuals that made it happen, and not forgetting all in attendance who by being there and enjoying the show also helped the various charity's. Community Charity's SupportedThe Main Sponsors![]() Paschal Alidieres Who drove me from CDG airport to Paris city center, nice guy we had a jovial chat, what would normally have taken an hour took more than two if not near three hours with French Police having issues with migrants in some part of the city Paschal told me and it was on the news. Paschal said Paris is a funny city for driving, if something happens in one part of the city, it affects the hole city, as I learnt quickly. Driver commercial, use to work in insurance when the company went bust, drove limousines before commercial driving for private people and companies, Private people always tip the best I'm glad I don't drive limousines anymore, don't have many stories just the normal but what does stick out is I remember one Arab guy hired a limo on a national holiday on the 14th July national holiday when most places are closed, and I had to go up the top of a high story building to the very top all he wanted was milk for a baby, 12.30 where shops close at 1. I tried to get it going around the city just called me told me it was OK didn't need it. I remarked his English was very good he was glad of that and explained ''I had an exchange in school to Wisconsin in the USA, I learned a lot there and in school in general at home. The wife is Nacera has a very good job and we have one son, Nacera is Algerian born, but living in France for a long time. If you are in city center of Paris you have to visit the quaint but family run business that is really friendly and cosy, ten mins away from Alexander 111 bridge. Mamy herself broken English but a whole lot better than my zero french. lovely cuppa and a sweet sweet crepe, when i'm back IL be in to see the Mamy Drawing artist who drew my portrait, he was in Montmartre near Sacre-CeourMohammed gave me the lift back to the airport as my weekend trip to Paris sadly had to come to an end, which being honest I needed because of all the walking I did, my feet were in pain, but worth it. As Paschal had mentioned the same issues on the way home were still a problem for police, which kept the company that was arranged stuck in one part of the city, they rang Mohamed private company who was able to work in the part of the city I was in. Mohammed originally from Tunisia drives for a living and a multi talented singer musician can play bagpipes drums and a lot more writes own music and songs. was interviewed on national Tunisian radio written 22 tracks, one of which you can see below. And a very proud young father of 3 kids he said with pride and only 22 years young. Very nice chap didn't have time to get his detail's but have his number will sometime in future post his business if your stuck in Paris he will sort you out ok english too, he did the day I was going home but in general as a rule doesn't usually work Sundays. In Paris for Paris-Photo which was based in Grand Palais, I seen this guy walking around as cool as you like, I asked would he be ok for a quick photo, said yeah sure, got it, as he was walking away I rand after him again I asked what his name was, and as cool as you like brings out a card and points to a name on it Benjamin Lee, that's me he said as he walked on.
