S&K, a group set up by John Moran, for football banter. For local lads to Longford Town, whom are fans of various English football clubs. As you can imagine, Manchester United & Liverpool, are always well represented in Ireland. John Moran, himself a Crystal Palace Fan. Someone on the page suggested a football match between the two sets of fans. Some of other clubs fans joined in to add to the numbers to the two teams. The first Inaugural match was held today in the Mall Complex Longford Town. Sponsored by Chevuebelle Hair Salon, Longford Town. Manchester United won on penalites 5-4. The game itself finished up 2-2. All monies rasied went to a local charity Good2Talk, which as it stands, was near one thousand euro. The match itself was a evenly matched game. The United team, has to be said deserved winners, after a shakey start they composed themselves and were better team. The had numerous chances to win in the game before final whistle, to stop it from going to penaltys. In saying that, thanks to Man U's Goal keeper pulling off couple great saves, via Pual Doherty of the Liverpool team, who gave the united team a bit of a scare in the end. When it really should have been finshed off alot ealier. the midfiled Duo off Stephen Norton and Niall Kelly ran the midfield from start to finish. Frankie MacMahon, and Uniteds goal keeper where big players for the united side, and two stalwarts and captain fantastic Declan Dolan and Gordon Burke Central Defenders. On the Liverpool side, Paul Doherty, was a star player, Sean Murphy, Gary Hewitt minus the Penalty miss, and Gary Cullen, and captain Darren Belton all stood out. But 'all' 'on both sides played thier part, and gave the crowd a great feast of football, and end to end stuff. Well done to all involved and a new date for ye all to add to yer calender next year, watch this space. More Photographs to come in the next few days

On my way around finishing any business on Xmass Eve, and I seen these two gents collecting for Longford Hospice. They must have finished thier shopping the day before, and not the last min usual man xmass eve shopping. Michael Collender and Roger Timlin.
Quick trip to the big smoke. Had to pick up a camera sent in for repair. Camera at my side, I took a few photographs that were of interest to me. Council workers, one working, the rest chatting. But i no judge, it was near or just after lunchtime. Two men on the phone, curiosity, intrigue, did i add it or was it there. Not forgetting a building nondescript apart form its olde communist feel, but has a 3d abstract feel, or did I make it that way, run with it. The well placed Street Singer, or the unfortunate, imaginary face i had the unfortunate of being its travel companion for the two hours trip. I was Blessed for a lift back down thanks to a longford artist, Gene Rhatigan, a enjoyable chat and most comforting journey thank you
