Organised and facilitated by Shane Crossan, with many local musicians taking the call with Xmas spirit to lift the spirits of loved ones, in the care of Laurel Lodge and St Josephs Longford town, who had a ball and were very grateful. thank to all the nurses for helping out and all the musicians who gave up their time to do it well done all involved.
Kitty Ross representing Marys Meals, was collecting today from Louis Herterich café, where he also sponsored a kindly 75euros worth of meat for a raffle, and a guess the weight xmas cake to win it too, great man and a charity close to his heart. The effervescent Kitty Ross, braved the weather and did Mary's Meals a great honour, collecting all voluntary work with Mary's Meals, click on picture below, to follow link to Mary's Meals, a charity I firmly believe in too. where even ten cents can be enough for a meal and 93percent without fail of every euro goes straight to the people that need it, and for 18.30euro you can feed one child for a whole school year.
Saint Elisabeth Convent that has close ties to Ireland, visit yearly, self funded community of faithful, that do many initiatives to help family's and individuals in Belarus with substance abuse and special needs children also. The convent once a year for a month, visit Ireland to raise funds for that great work that they do, helping many people. They raise funds with selling gifts that they make which are various. Unfortunately due to covid, they were unable to attend markets because they cancelled, in Belfast and Galway. they have an online shop where they sell their unique items made by them and people they help.
