Chad Reilly Longford Town, schooled St Josephs St Michael and St Mel's, Longford Town, completed his Junior Cert, after which he joined the great Youth Reach Programme Locally. coming from a great lineage, Reilly clan Longford, some are making waves on the international scene. with great success, Nigel Reilly his uncle, and his grandfather Martin Reilly, has taught the whole family, the art of self defence. that's where Chad comes into the story, took to it like a duck to water, loves it. lives it and breathes it all the time, he knew what he wanted to do from a young age, Cage fighting. was told not til he was 16, but his grandfather Martin taught him and trained him to prepare his body for it. he is with SBG McGregor home training centre for Cage Fighting, and when he turned 16 he jumped into it straight away. trains in Fusion MMA in Athlone, under the great tutelage of Martin Hickey, whom he has great respect for, best fighter he ever seen he said. My training table is 2 and a half hours MMA 4 days a week 3 days jogging 2 days sprints and two days swimming basically i train 4 hours everyday. I train all the time, always sparing the lads call me Sponge, always learning, i will spar fight anybody, champions and non champions you can learn a lot from everybody. i am taught all the mixed martial arts, wrestling to jiujutsu boxing to kickboxing taekwondo, the representative coach from SBG, ''SBG the home of McGregor'', reckons I have what it takes to be the best. I am fighting in 3rd Sept in Glasgow for my first world title, ISKA World Title against Dean Sutherland, McGregor got his first title at 20 21 years, I'm 17 years old. its all i ever want to do, its all i ever think about, I'm thinking all the time about training, different moves, my grandfather without a doubt has inspired me greatly. my weight is 67 kg light featherweight, I'm always between 66 70, over 70 middle weight, I have fought officially 6 times, and all wins, and I am always sparring, I'm not allowed to his full those in my camp that are of same weight because of my power, everybody tells me i will make it, I have all that's needed, i have fantastic support, family and coaches, they all have faith i will succeed.my aim is to be champion of the UFC, follow McGregor footsteps, that's my aim and dream, and i am doing all i can to achieve that. you would never expect much to come out of Longford, my uncle a international champion at arm wresting, and I hope to be a world champion. I fought my last fight with a broken hand, in training as i said not allowed to hit anybody my own weight, always fighting older bigger usually lads, the fighter i am fighting is a 4 or 5 times world champion.
